If it arrives damaged or proves defective, we cover return shipping and send a replacement or a full refund. Please inspect your order on delivery and report any damage within 48 hours with photos.
If you change your mind, the return is yours to arrange and pay for. These are heavy pieces and return freight is genuinely expensive — we would rather tell you now than at the counter.

Dust metal and glass with a dry or slightly damp cloth, then dry it. Brush linen and fabric shades with a soft brush or a vacuum dust attachment rather than washing them. Never submerge any part of a lamp.
Unplug before changing a bulb and let the old one cool first. Stay at or below the maximum wattage listed in the specifications above.
A bedside lamp with something to look at. The stem is a single length of metal twisted like rope, rising off a solid rubberwood base in a walnut finish, under a plain white linen cylinder. Considered rather than decorative — it holds its own next to good furniture without competing with it.
A base with real weight to it
Solid rubberwood, walnut-finished, on a 12-inch square footprint. At 22 inches tall it clears a nightstand lamp's usual job — tall enough to light a book, short enough that the shade doesn't tower over a headboard. Four pounds is enough to stay put when someone reaches past it in the dark.

The 11.8-inch cylindrical linen shade diffuses the bulb rather than spotlighting it, so the light lands on the page instead of in your eyes. Takes any standard E26 bulb — pick your own brightness and color temperature.
A switch you can find without looking
An in-line switch sits on the cord where your hand naturally falls, not underneath the shade. The cord runs 74.4 inches — 6.2 feet — so the lamp isn't tethered to the outlet directly behind the nightstand.
