FAQ

Are bulbs included?

It depends on the product, and every product page says so plainly in the Dimensions & Specs panel near the top.

Lamps that take a standard E26 bulb usually ship without one, so you can choose the brightness and colour temperature you want — check the panel for the maximum wattage. Lamps with a built-in LED, cordless rechargeable lamps, string and vine lights, night lights and solar lights have nothing to buy separately.

One exception is still open: on the Floor Lamp with Side Table and Shelves we are confirming bulb inclusion with our supplier and have deliberately left it blank rather than guess. We will update the page the moment we have a definite answer.

What kind of plug or power do these use?

Nothing we sell is hardwired, so nothing needs an electrician or a junction box — including the wall sconces, which plug into a normal outlet.

Plug-in lamps use a standard US plug at 110–120V. USB-powered lamps and vine lights run from any USB port or adapter. Cordless lamps and picture lights run on a built-in rechargeable battery and charge over the included cable. Some garlands take AA batteries, which are not included. Outdoor products run on solar with a built-in rechargeable cell, or on a low-voltage plug-in transformer. The power type is always stated in the Dimensions & Specs panel.

How long are the cords?

Cord length is listed in the Dimensions & Specs panel on each product page wherever the supplier has confirmed it.

Three are still outstanding — the Plug-In Wall Sconce Set of 2, the Farmhouse Table Lamp with USB Ports, and the Farmhouse Lantern Table Lamps, Set of 2. We are waiting on those figures and will publish them rather than estimate. If you need one of those measurements before ordering, email us and we will chase it.

Is assembly required?

It varies, and each product page states it plainly. Floor lamps generally ship flat-packed or in sections and need assembly; the two floor lamps with side tables need the most. Most table lamps need nothing beyond seating the shade. Wall lights need mounting, and the bracket and hardware are in the box. Solar path lights push into the ground by hand with no tools.

Can these be dimmed?

Several can, and the product page says which. Cordless rechargeable lamps typically dim steplessly by touch. Some lamps use a 3-way socket, which gives three levels when fitted with a 3-way bulb. Many of the USB and LED lamps switch between three colour temperatures rather than dimming. If a product page does not mention dimming, assume it is on/off only.

Can the outdoor lights stay out in the rain?

Every outdoor product states its water-resistance rating on the product page. IP44 and IP45 cover rain and sprinkler spray; IP65 covers water jets. None of them cover immersion — do not stand a solar panel in water. Solar lights need direct sun during the day to run through the night; a shaded spot shortens the run time.

How do I track my order?

You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as the shipping label is created, normally within 1–3 business days of ordering. If tracking has not updated within two business days of dispatch, email us and we will chase the carrier.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Email hello@gleamdreams.com within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the item and the outer packaging. We cover return shipping on damaged goods in full and will send a replacement or a complete refund, whichever you prefer.

How do I look after these?

Dust metal and glass with a dry or slightly damp cloth, then dry it. Brush linen and fabric shades with a soft brush or a vacuum dust attachment rather than washing them. Never submerge any part of a lamp. Unplug before changing a bulb and let the old one cool first. Wipe solar panels clean occasionally so they keep charging fully.
